Learn to Play
Recommendations for New Players
We recommend that players with no hockey experience complete at least one Learn to Play Hockey session before entering the Capitals league. Capitals players should be able to perform most of the Learn to Skate USA's Hockey 1 and 2 skills. Learn to Play participants should request an evaluation to determine if they have a coach's recommendation to join the Capitals.
